Rachel is a Neurological Specialist Physiotherapist. Rachel graduated from The University of Bradford in 2006 and has 16 years of work experience. After completing a wide range of rotations within the hospital and community, she began working almost exclusively in neuro from 2010. She works as an autonomous practitioner in providing comprehensive neurological physiotherapy assessments, treatments and goal setting to a varied caseload of patients. Rachel is an experienced neurological physiotherapist in assessment and formulation of treatment plans for neurological impaired clients in clinic and at home. These include Stroke, peripheral neuropathies, spinal injuries, Parkinson’s and multi-trauma clients. She has a passion and special interest in Hydrotherapy completing post-graduate training in hydrotherapy for neurological conditions. Rachel also worked as a physio for the National Ankylosing society from 2008-2018. Rachel is Bobath trained and has done extended post graduate training in the management and treatment of incomplete spinal injuries. Rachel has taken part in published research into task-related training in people with Huntington’s disease. Rachel also works across a range of neurological specialities within the NHS. She is passionate about neurological rehabilitation and the journey from acute recovery through to longer term management.
